A psychiatrist, born in Warsaw, Poland, pursued his medical education at the Medical University of Warsaw, graduating in 1993. With a foundation in Family and Internal Medicine, moved to US and completed Psychiatric Residency at SUNY-Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Unlike a growing trend in the industry that focuses on labeling patients without delving into the underlying causes of their symptoms, Dr. J takes a different approach. He firmly believes that true healing lies in unraveling the reasons behind the symptoms his patients present. By embracing this philosophy, he strives to discard simplistic labels and instead focuses on a holistic understanding of each individual's unique journey.
Dr. J's commitment to his patients is rooted in the belief that every person possesses hidden talents and strengths. Rather than viewing individuals through the lens of disability, he firmly stands by the notion of undiscovered abilities, seeking to understand each patient he works with as a complex and nuanced individual, rather than simply focusing on their symptoms and diagnoses.
As a psychiatrist, Dr. J sees his role as a facilitator, assisting individuals in their healing and taking a “non-pathologizing” approach to psychiatry. With his expertise, he strives to create a safe and nurturing environment where patients can embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth. By working collaboratively, he aims to help individuals harness their unique strengths, leading to improved mental well-being and a fulfilling life.
